Manchester Central

The Manchester Central Convention Complex is situated right in the heart of Manchester, just nine miles from Manchester International Airport and a short drive from the M602 motorway. The world class venue has 2 large exhibition halls, a modern tiered auditorium and a multitude of breakout rooms which make it the ideal venue for the SAP UK & Ireland User Group Conference, in its first year in Manchester.

Travel Recommendation
Manchester is a busy city featuring many one-way streets!

Furthermore, with consideration for the climate may we suggest that, where possible, you avoid traveling by car and choose the excellent public transport available in and around Manchester. There is an added benefit to your pocket as well as you can avoid unnecessary car parking charges! Thank you.

Road
Manchester Central has direct links to several major motorways the M6, M62 and M56.

For up to date road reports follow the link - http://www.frixo.com/

Parking
Manchester Central has a 720 space NCP car park which is open and manned 24 hours a day directly beneath the venue, providing easy access for all visitors. An additional 200 space car park is situated to the rear of the venue. Further car parking is available within a short walk of the venue. Charges at venue start from £5.70 up to 2 hours, £8.40 for up to four hours, £8.70 for up to 8 hours, £12.50 for up to 12 hours and £16.50 for up to 24 hours.

Rail
Manchester has direct rail connections to all major UK cities. For more information visit the National Rail Website or http://www.thetrainline.com/.

Metrolink (the Tram)
If you are catching a train the metro is by far the most effective way to reach Manchester Central. Trams leave every 6 minutes from 07:15 to 18:30 and stop directly outside Manchester Central (referred to as G-MEX on the tram maps).

A ticket from Piccadilly station can be pre-booked and costs just .80p, though it is simple to purchase these on the tram.

We suggest you follow the link http://www.metrolink.co.uk/index.asp for the Metrolink travel information and prices.

Gala Dinner

The Lancashire County Cricket Club is the exciting venue for the 2010 Gala Dinner. The UK & Ireland SAP User Group attendees will be some of the first delegates to use ‘The Point’ which is a new £12 million pound Hospitality Suite at the cricket club.

LCCC is located just a few miles from the conference venue and has ample on-site car parking as well as complimentary transportation; the majority of which will leave and return from the conference centre. Transfer details will be available in the Joining Instructions which you will receive closer to the conference and timetables will be available on-site at the helpdesks in the conference venue.

Please note delegate fees include a Gala Dinner pass except Day Passes.

Dress Code for the dinner is black tie/lounge suits for gentlemen and cocktail/evening wear for ladies.
