Biography: Oliver Bussmann is chief information officer (CIO) of SAP AG. Bussmann has a wealth of experience with influential leadership of cross-cultural, transcontinental business process transformations in the IT and Financial Service industry in the U.S and Europe. He has proven expertise in building consensus across a diverse enterprise and driving time-critical, cost-effective solutions that streamline operations and accelerate business growth. With combined know-how and diplomacy, Bussmann has a solid track record of innovation, urgency, and execution while consistently delivering cost-savings and improved performance metrics.

Prior to joining SAP, Bussmann was regional CIO North America & Mexico at Allianz, focused on execution to enable business transformation and operational effectiveness through technology and global sourcing. His responsibilities included leading the operational transformation, as well as delivery of significant investments to improve customer and employee experience. Other past roles include Executive Vice President of Group Information Technology for the Allianz Group in Munich, and IT Managing Director of Allianz Global Investors, San Francisco, and Deutsche Bank, Frankfurt. Bussmann began his career as a manager for IBM’s Financial Services Division.
