Steve Winter, Managing Director, SAP UK and Ireland, has a key objective of helping SAP’s customers adapt quickly to changing and challenging market conditions so they can run, grow, or transform their business in order to achieve their strategic goals. Steve is also responsible, with the support of his Leadership Team, for executing the company’s business strategy and growth plans that will enable SAP to expand its leadership position in the business software arena.

Prior to joining SAP UK and Ireland in September 2011, Steve served as Chief Operating Officer for SAP North America, where he led the , led the Premier Customer Network Center of Excellence, the Line of Business Center of Excellence, Private Equity Sales, Business Operations, Ecosystems & Alliances, Small and Midsize Enterprises (SME), Value Engineering, Solution Advisors, and Inside Sales teams.

Steve previously served as executive vice president of Enterprise Sales, responsible for overseeing the enterprise business for SAP North America. In this role, Steve drove industry-specific sales along with customer satisfaction for all large and midsize companies. Prior to that, Steve led Enterprise Sales in both the Midwest and Southwest regions.

Steve joined SAP in 2005 after a12-year tenure with PeopleSoft, where he held various executive sales management roles, including vice president and general manager of the company’s Midwest region office in Chicago.

Steve holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration of computer information systems from Georgia State University. He is currently a Committee Member of The Prince’s Trust Technology Leadership Group, of which SAP UK and Ireland is Patron.

Biography: Klaus-Peter Sauer is the Technical Lead of the Teradata SAP COE in EMEA.

In this role he is supporting Teradata to SAP NetWeaver BW integration projects in the EMEA region. Klaus-Peter has more than 9 years implementation experience with SAP BW.

Biography: Oliver Bussmann is CIO of SAP AG and is responsible for the Company’s cross-departmental Information Technology function and supports SAP’s strategic objectives.

Biography: Oliver Bussmann is chief information officer (CIO) of SAP AG. Bussmann has a wealth of experience with influential leadership of cross-cultural, transcontinental business process transformations in the IT and Financial Service industry in the U.S and Europe. He has proven expertise in building consensus across a diverse enterprise and driving time-critical, cost-effective solutions that streamline operations and accelerate business growth. With combined know-how and diplomacy, Bussmann has a solid track record of innovation, urgency, and execution while consistently delivering cost-savings and improved performance metrics.

Prior to joining SAP, Bussmann was regional CIO North America & Mexico at Allianz, focused on execution to enable business transformation and operational effectiveness through technology and global sourcing. His responsibilities included leading the operational transformation, as well as delivery of significant investments to improve customer and employee experience. Other past roles include Executive Vice President of Group Information Technology for the Allianz Group in Munich, and IT Managing Director of Allianz Global Investors, San Francisco, and Deutsche Bank, Frankfurt. Bussmann began his career as a manager for IBM’s Financial Services Division.

The UK & Ireland SAP User Group is pleased to announce Timo Elliott as a keynote speaker for this year’s User Conference.Timo is a 19-year veteran of SAP BusinessObjects, who has spent the last twenty years working with customers around the world on information strategy. He works closely with SAP research and innovation centres around the world to evangelise new technology prototypes. His popular BI Questions and SAPWeb20 blogs track innovation in analytics and social media, including topics such as augmented corporate reality, collaborative decision-making and social network analysis. Timo regularly presents on subjects such as why BI projects fail and what to do about it, and the intersection of BI and enterprise 2.0.

The UK & Ireland SAP User Group is pleased to announce that leading industry analyst Ray Wang of Constellation Research is to return as a keynote speaker for the 2011 User Group Conference in Birmingham. Keep watching the conference website for further details.

Ray is a Principal Analyst & CEO of the next generation research firm, Constellation Research. He was previously a founding partner and research analyst for enterprise strategy at Altimeter Group and the author of the popular enterprise software blog “A Software Insider’s Point of View”. In both 2008 and 2009, Ray was recognized by the prestigious Institute of Industry Analyst Relations (IIAR) as the Analyst of the Year and in 2009 he was recognized as one of the most important analysts for Enterprise, SMB, and Software.

Ray has been a very popular speaker at both the 2008 and 2009 User Group Conferences, so we are delighted to welcome him back as a speaker this year.
