It’s refreshing to see that SAP is backing the idea of in-memory computing (http://www.sap.com/about/newsroom/press-releases/press.epx?pressid=14907). It’s a simple fact that the amount of data never gets smaller: as a result, as organisations deal with more and more of it, so we all need more and faster ways to actually process and use that data.

2011 seemed to be a year where there were a number of significant global news events. While things weren’t quite so hectic in the world of SAP, there was still a fair amount to look back on:
The 2011 conference is now complete and it looks to have been successful. Given the economic surroundings it was encouraging to see high levels of interest recorded by many exhibitors and good attendance overall. Indeed, over 20% of the stands for 2012 in Manchester have already been sold which has never been seen before.

We are pleased to announce that Birmingham City University will be exhibiting at this year’s conference.
Commenting on the University’s participation, Ardavan Amini, Head of International Academy of Enterprise Systems Innovation and Course leader at Birmingham City University, said: “The academy is a joint partnership between Birmingham City University and SAP, delivering enterprise systems courses with SAP certification developed tailored to industry needs as part of an exclusive partnership between SAP University Alliance, SAP Education and Birmingham City University. We are delighted to be at the SAP UK & Ireland User Group conference and looking forward in meeting with partners and customers to discuss their educational, training and research provisions.”

We are pleased to announce that in addition to iOS devices our User Group Conference app is now available for download for Android and BlackBerry users. To download the app visit the following link.
