John Stevens of SAP will deliver The Case for PP/DS. This presentation will compare the functionality of APO PP/DS and ECC (R/3) PP, discuss the differences and point out the key drivers that lead to the use of PP/DS over ECC PP.
 
Jason Howell of Honeywell will deliver MK Electric Goes Electronic, discussing how Honeywell improved their order entry process from a manual process to an electronic process without impacting their customers. They also improved the cycle times of order entry and the retrieval of purchase orders. How with an automated document process solution Honeywell were able to remove 98% of their manual paper based order entry processes and reduce the order entry time down from 2 hours 30 minutes to an average of 38 minutes from receipt of the document.
 
Craig Dale from the SAP User Group will deliver updates on the 2008 SAP User Group Annual Conference in November.

Stuart Hagyard, our SCM SIG Chair and Business Systems Manager for Princes, will deliver Simple Use of SAPQM in the Inbound Supply Chain. This presentation will describe how SAP QM functionality is used to manage inspection of incoming food products from overseas vendors, how QM master data is being used to produce a dynamic approved supplier list and how further development of simple QM functionality is being looked at to manage supply audits. 
 
Simon Bishop of RNLI will present SCM at the Rpyal National Lifeboat Institution, which will outline the scope to which SCM is currently used in the RNLI and its future development plans; the focus will be on the vital importance of on-time supply to the Lifeboat stations.
