Faced with considerable negative feedback of their original recruitment system, the SoG were under pressure to replace, modernise and significantly improve the way they attracted and appointed staff. The organisation provides the full range of public services (bar defence) associated with local, regional and central governments in the UK so their recruitment system is critical to the success and prosperity of their independently governed island. With the SoG employing over 5,000 staff in all areas including healthcare, education and law enforcement, the SoG took the decision to implement the SuccessFactors recruitment system, delivering the change in 100 days. This presentation describes the journey taken, the considerable improvements delivered and the benefits that have arisen for the way in which the SoG can now attract and appoints its staff.
