Audit, Control & Security

16:30 - 17:15

“86% of users have yet to grasp the implications of GDPR as it relates to their existing and future SAP inventory.” Brian Froom, Director UKISUG & ACS SIG Chair

GDPR (the General Data Protection Regulation) has far-reaching consequences for companies across the world, and the compliance deadline of May 2018 is getting closer every day.

Paul Hammersley has specialised knowledge about Data Security and how GDPR will impact companies running SAP. In this session, he will consider challenges around the Right to be Forgotten (Article 17), and how businesses will address Retention periods. He will also introduce EPI-USE Labs’ innovative new app Data Retain, and explain how it allows you to build highly configurable rules which can apply retention periods to different types of data.

Data Retain is part of EPI-USE Labs’ SAP GDPR Compliance Suite, developed specifically to help you get ready for GDPR compliance - both reactively, and proactively. Built on a solid foundation of existing technology and Intellectual Property, our apps Data Redact, Data Disclose and Data Retain address rights such as the Right to Access and the Right to be Forgotten. These purpose-built applications run on a modern Fiori/HTML5 interface, making them easily accessible to the users across modern desktop and mobile interfaces. Although the applications are new, the underlying technology they are leveraging is used by customers around the world, and is based on over 30 years of experience in the SAP data management field.

Join Paul’s session to find out more about options to get ahead of GDPR today.
