Vincent Holland Keen from University of Leeds will deliver a session on their Research Management System (KRISTAL).

The session will provide a overview of their bespoke SAP Research Management system which is integrated with various modules such as Finance, Project Systems and limited Grants management functionality. It is surfaced via the SAP Portal and used for managing their Grants portfolio.

James Ibbotson from University Of Sheffield will be speaking about Implementing SAP Fiori Applications for SAP Business Suit. HCM, SRM and Approvals a Customer Story.

This will include a quick demo of SAP Fiori launch pad, over view of our architecture. Demo of some of the Fiori Applications running live.... And how this compares to our current EP infrastructure.

Chris Burns & Alan Cecchini from Newcastle University will present Need for Speed: Proving relevance of SAP HANA in a HE environment.

With SAP performance degrading and our SAP hardware due for replacement, is now the time to implement HANA at Newcastle University? It was also recognised that HANA’s dominant position in the SAP roadmap reflected a certain inevitability in its eventual adoption at the University.

Mindful of the paradigm-shifting possibilities of SAP HANA, Newcastle undertook a Proof of Concept project to inform a business case for implementation. With consultancy support from their SAP partner itelligence, Newcastle built an ERP and BW instance on HANA with copies of Production data.

Chris and Alan will discuss their adventures along the way, showcase some early successes, including some of the business processes they can re-invent, and their plans going forward.

Brian Reid from Absoft Limited will deliver the following session:

Technical Roadmap: A Budgeting and Planning Tool.

Strategic Principal Consultant Brian Reid will explore how a Technical Roadmap provides Higher Education IT departments with an invaluable planning and budgeting tool. The Roadmap opens up discussions with the wider organisation by providing a costed, 3-5 year proposed SAP landscape maintenance plan. The Roadmap also provides clarity on the various options available for the future maintenance of the SAP landscape - and ensures compliance with SAP support restrictions.

Guillaume Domagnez, SAP Customer Engagement & Commerce Specialist will be delivering the session SAP Marketing & Student Recruitment for (Higher) Education – it is time to engage Students like never before!

Hear how SAP can help Universities with Marketing and Student Engagement.
