Mark Pendery from SAP will be presenting an SAP strategy overview to include landscape simplification, S/4 products and Fiori user interface.
Steve Pearson from Phusion will present Sharing Generic Equipment and Component Part Data and Documents.
Many SAP customers purchase and operate equipment, such as pumps and motors, from leading OEMs. The supporting technical data and document requirements are common when best practice is established.
That said, most sites take on the burden of data and document collection independently, at full cost, and still find gaps.
This presentation encourages the sharing of common data and documents as a platform for greater business benefits, in terms of equipment performance improvement and lifecycle cost reduction.
In this session Steve will present some sharing work he established within BP to set up a maintenance regime for a new facility.
The them being to encourage others to share information and knowledge which is not confidential to make your organisation more efficient and effective.
You eat every elephant one bite at a time so Steve will encourage the group to pick a small subject that will derive the most benefit. Pumps and valves ten to be the industry work horses so a focus on one of these areas may be a logical outcome.
Each participant is encouraged to share information relating to one pump or valve so the more you samples you can bring along to the session the more benefit you will derive. Steve will show some best practice data and documents for pumps on some current large scale projects and wants to encourage alignment of basic support information across industries.
What is in it for you?
Imagine a world where everything you need to safely operate, maintain and inspect any item of equipment is available to you at any time, anywhere on any device. Also imagine that which ever organisation you represent the information you require will be similar so you are instantly familiar despite being a new kid on the block.
This is what Steve will present and will encourage you to feel confident about aligning yourself and your organisation will others to create a catalyst for continuous improvement and reduce the improvement costs at the same time!
