Making the most of the initial investment in SAP and achieving the optimum benefit from the system requires identifying and closing the process design and end user training gaps. With SAP, closing these gaps tends to be a never ending journey as organisations strive to optimise their business processes. Our Business Process Symposium brings together the Finance and Supply Chain SIGs to provide one invaluable event for users of SAP ERP software.

Has Digital Transformation Killed My Business Process?

Business processes as we know them are becoming unfit for purpose. With processes such as procure-to-pay established in the 90s to streamline rigid purchasing and accounting workflows, we now look for more flexible frameworks to adapt to constantly evolving industries, innovative business models, and a completely different workforce.

The role of IT organisations need to change too, to achieve a balance between supporting and optimising core processes while creating an environment that is capable of supporting rapid innovation.

Where do IT Services organisations fit in this new reality? As industries look for innovation opportunities and new business models, organisations expect more from an software partner than one-off implementation projects delivered on time. Paul Helms, senior VP responsible for SAP’s Enterprise Support and Premium Engagements in EMEA, will talk about the evolution of the partnership between organisations and software partners.

Darren Crowder, Vice President – Platform and Mark Darbyshire – Vice President Integration will present Digital Nirvana. Nirvana isn’t a destination, nor a level of maturity – the route to your digital nirvana won’t be linear, nor will it be the same as others… When you can’t get any more value from your data or capabilities – you will have reached Digital Nirvana. Come to this session to see Hana Cloud Platform in action and understand how to start your journey to Digital Nirvana.

Bluefin have worked with Maersk Oil to transform their processes for planning and managing the financial performance of their global capital projects portfolio. Mark Fidler from Bluefin will present this case study focussing on how the implementation of SAP Business, Planning and Consolidation (BPC) can deliver improved project cost control in capital intensive organisations and industries.

In addition to the knowledge rich plenary sessions there are a number of excellent networking opportunities and up to sixteen different sessions in our breakout programme. See below some of the confirmed sessions:
