Effective SAP License Management is about properly licensing your SAP estate, not only to achieve compliance from an audit perspective but to optimize SAP software asset usage and named user licensing from a commercial point of view. JNC will demonstrate the most common risks and opportunities associated with SAP License Management, as well as providing a broader understanding of what constitutes good SAP License Management practices.
Speaker Bio:
James Cochlin is the Principle Consultant and
Consulting Director at JNC, which has been providing SAP License Management
services since 2009. In total he possesses over 10 years’ experience in SAP
License Management, and Auditing with significant knowledge and experience with
security, authorisations and GRC. In the past, James was an SAP License Auditor
for Deloitte, auditing clients globally on behalf of SAP, and was involved in
the design of SAP’s License Audit methodology. Throughout his career, James has
worked at some of the largest clients of SAP helping them solve complex
licensing problems whilst helping them regain control of licensing their
estate. Now James works with customers helping reduce their risk of
non-compliance, identify cost savings and avoid the pit-falls of licensing SAP
estates. James has trained a vast number of SAP Consultants on SAP licensing
principles, was the lead architect of a well know SAP Software Asset Management
tool, and is held in high esteem internationally as a leading SME and authority
on SAP License Management.
Brecht Van den Bogaert is a Senior Consultant at JNC
Consultancy. He started his career in financial auditing with EY, and before
joining JNC spent over 2 years at Deloitte as Senior Consultant working across
SAP Security, Authorisations, Access Management and GRC. Brecht also has
significant experience within SAP system measurement and licensing. He
specialises in designing and implementing scalable and transparent SAP
authorizations concepts integrated with best practice principles of SAP License
management. He has also gained experience on project management by working
within SAP Project Management Office’s at former employers. Brecht holds a Master’s
degree in Commercial Sciences and is a SAP Certified Technology Associate
within the domain of SAP Authorizations and Audit for SAP NW 7.31.
