Stephen Walker, SAP Team Manager at Pets at Home and Ben Paris, Technical Director at Rapid ERP will be speaking about Pets at Home SAP and Solution Manager Journey.

Stephen will present an overview of their SAP programs, usage of SAP Solution Manager, and plans for SolMan 7.2:

  • Background and Pets at Home SAP Journey
  • SAP Solution Manager for Change Management and Testing
  • Plans for the Future and Upgrade to Solution Manager 7.2

Recently released in August 2016, SAP Solution Manager 7.2 is the latest evolution of SAP’s lifecycle management toolset. The new release moves beyond ‘operating SAP’ and provides a platform for ‘Building Innovation’ and empowering the implementation of SAP S/4HANA.

Neil Start from Rapid ERP will present SAP Solution Manager 7.2 – Building Innovation and Simplifying the Journey to SAP S/4HANA.

In this session take an in-depth look at the holistic ‘Requirements to Deploy’ value chain and highlight the features that you should be taking notice of for your SAP Project and Support activities.

SAP describe Solution Manager 7.2 as “Stunning”; in this session, we’ll dig beneath the covers and provide an interactive live demo. to explore these claims! You’ll experience the entire ‘Requirements to Deploy’ value chain as we look at:

  • Business and IT Requirements
  • IT Portfolio and Project Management
  • Process Management and Modelling using the integrated BPMN editor
  • Managing Change and Testing through the Lifecycle
  • Exciting turn-key functionality with ‘Focused Build’

After a brief intro, we’ll bypass the boring theory and get straight to the heart of the action – you’ll see the tools and processes as an end-user would see them. Rapid ERP will also explain how to get started in your own organisation and how SAP Solution Manager can become your perfect partner for adopting SAP S/4HANA, now or in the future.

SAP will present Detect to Correct & Change Management of your live SAP solution. This session will include a demo of how SAP Solution Manager 7.2 can help you manage and control changes to your live SAP solution.

This live demo begins with the detection of an incident in a production system client; we then follow controlled change activities to deliver and release the correction of the incident. This demo will use an ‘out of the box’ SAP Solution Manager 7.2 system and SAP’s Change Request Management functionality in operating your SAP solution.

We will be running an SAP Solution Manager 7.2 – Ask the Experts Panel Discussion.

The panellists will include Gavin Richardson and Ben Paris from Rapid ERP, Stephen Walker from Pets at Home and both Andy Lawrence and Paul Jackson from SAP.

This panel discussion offers the chance to delve into specific topics and questions relating to all aspects of SAP Solution Manager. Bring your ‘real world’ questions and SolMan scenarios and have them addressed by our team of expert speakers and panelists.

Paul Jackson from SAP and Neil Start from Rapid ERP will be speaking about Customer Influence – improved SolMan by UKI for UKI.

This session will highlight how SAP Customers can join a global Customer Influence Program to improve SAP Solution Manager and how in the UK and Ireland customers can meet to discuss and promote specific recommendations for SolMan. In addition, together we would like to introduce a brand-new community, aimed at facilitating direct feedback to and from SAP product development, for people who are passionate about, and want to help shape the future of, SAP Solution Manager. SAP Customers in the UK and Ireland who are interested in SAP Solution Manager should have an opportunity to register feedback and ideas with SAP product development, and hear more of the ‘roadmap’ for the product. Hear more about this at the event.

We hope to see you there!
