Daniel Poole from Northumbria University will present a Summary of key developments Northumbria have implemented with SAP ECC to strengthen operational efficiency and effectiveness.

These include:

  • Automation of Credit Control procedures - identifying and pursuing outstanding arrears
  • Automation of Human Resources procedures - generation of pension letters
  • Using a SAP support partner to deliver a hybrid support team

As the market for HE&R becomes increasing global and competitive there is need to move away from traditional Student Record and CRM solutions to a Student Engagement Platform fit for the digitally connected, social media age. In this session learn how itelligence is enabling business transformation for our customers using the SAP Hybris platform for Student Engagement to attract and retain students and offer new ways of learning and collaboration.

Matthew Hopley from itelligence will show how the SAP Business Planning and Consolidation tool can be used for integrated Higher Education planning. SAP Business Planning and Consolidation is a highly flexible tool that provides users with access to reports and inputs, automated data management and calculations from a user friendly Microsoft office and web front end. It can function as a standalone tool or integrated to the SAP landscape for the automation of planning and forecasting functions. Providing users with transparency and consistent auditable access to their planning data. The presentation will focus in on a demonstration of a Grant Forecasting tool showing how Grant Funding information can be analysed and scenario planned to produce financial forecasts for future years. The presentation will also cover how this can be combined with Student Number Planning and core Financial planning to provide an overall integrated solution to automated rapid Higher Education Planning and Forecasting.
