Nicholas Sinclair from Nomura will deliver a brief overview of Nomura including their current projects.
Northern Gas Networks is on an adventure...one that will redefine their ways of working. Over the next twelve months the organisation will have implemented S4 HANA, BW/4 HANA, SuccessFactors, SAP Cloud Platform, SAP Analytics Cloud, Digital Boardroom, BPC, Concur and OpenText. This is the most exciting, and challenging, thing they have ever done. It's not exciting because of the tech, it's exciting because of what their going to do with it. It's exciting because of the way it will enable them to evolve their business... by being in complete control of their data, by fully integrating Business Intelligence tools into an Enterprise Architecture that fully encompasses data and process, by releasing the Data Scientist in all of them. This is the rise of the Digital Utility, with Business Intelligence at the very core of its operation. This is the rise of the Citizen Analyst. Tom Pollock will talk about how NGN started on this adventure, where they are now and where they expect to go. He’ll talk about how S/4 is changing the role of BI within NGN, from a passive reporting function to a vibrant, positive force that drives the business forward.

Asad Mahmood from itelligence will present SAP Analytics Cloud.
SAP Analytics Cloud (SAP BusinessObjects Cloud) allows users to very easily and effectively create immersive analytic experiences through leveraging the simple but powerful SAP Cloud Platform capabilities. Users can combine datasets, build custom storyboards, perform real-time analysis, apply innovative machine learning techniques and collaborate with colleagues within a matter of minutes.
After an initial introduction, Asad will take you through the process of connecting to a data source, applying the necessary data transformations and then consuming these models to build rich and meaningful insights. When building stories, we have access to many different visualisations, which we can adopt under the appropriate circumstances. Additionally, Asad will also take you through the option to explore your datasets and uncover meaningful insights. These can subsequently be incorporated in your stories using the appropriate visualisations. Once the stories are complete, users can collaborate through commentary and the ability to share pertinent information with their colleagues.
