Meet The Speakers...

Andy Sugden
Principal Solution Architect, Virtustream

Andy has over 25 years of experience in the IT industry with the last 18 of those in the SAP space. He’s held a number of roles from Basis Consultant to Technical Architect to Capability Lead for a variety of firms such as Hewlett Packard, Sun Microsystems, Axon Consulting and CSC. Andy has architected a number of SAP cloud based solutions and recently worked on a project where a UK public sector company successfully deployed their SAP payroll environment for 160,000 employees onto a cloud based environment.
Andy has worked in a number of sectors including Public Sector, Transport, Banking, Utilities and Manufacturing. His area of expertise is technical architecture having previously headed the SAP technical architect capability at both Axon and CSC.
Andy joined Virtustream in 2012 and is UK&I pre-sales team lead.

Stuart Bernard
Vice President, UK and Ireland

Stuart Bernard is Vice President of Sales for Virtustream with a primary focus on the UK and Ireland. Stuart brings a well-rounded background to the Virtustream leadership team and has deep expertise in consulting services, business operations and sales excellence.
Prior to joining Virtustream, which recently became one of the Dell Technologies family of businesses, Stuart was the Director of Regional Sales for UKI and the Nordics for Verizon Enterprise Solutions. In this role, he reinstated cloud sales within the Verizon Cloud business, integrating the Terremark legacy cloud sales team into a combined cloud and managed hosting team. Additionally, Stuart played an integral part in progressing Verizon’s Cloud Platform sales through his customer business solutions focus.
Before his time with Verizon, Stuart spent thirteen years working with Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), a multinational corporation that provides Information Technology and Professional Services in over 60 countries. While at CSC, he was the Director of Regional Sales for EMEA. In this role, Stuart was responsible for transforming the Cloud Sales team in Europe into a high performing group spanning four contributing country regions. This included restructuring the pre-existing team, acquiring new talent and implementing a revised go-to-market strategy. Stuart began his working relationship with CSC in 2001 as part of the consulting leadership team.
Before Verizon and CSC, Stuart worked as the Business Excellence Director for FCI Scotland, and also held multiple roles for British Nuclear Fuels.
Stuart graduated from the University of Aberdeen in 1987 with an Honors degree in Chemistry.
