Build an App in a Day using S/4HANA & SAP Cloud Platform
This event will led by Gareth Ryan, SAP Mentor and the Developers SIG Chair.
Attendees at this event will get the chance to progress through a full, end-to-end (design to build) scenario utilising several key SAP technologies. The ambition of the day is to give people first-hand experience of how they can design, build and review an application that makes use of both on premise S/4HANA and Cloud Platform capabilities. This will include elements of backend service design and build using SAP Gateway; UI design and user research using SAP Build; and front-end development using WebIDE. We will walk through, in logical and sequential stages, the typical path of creating an application using this range of SAP technologies, explaining how they interact and work together.
Who is it for?
Anyone who has an interest in development or technology in and around the SAP space, as well as people from a UX/UI background who want more understanding of how things are put together. Architects who desire a better understanding of how SAP technology is changing and what the future of app design and development looks like.
We are finalising the agenda for the day but it will include:
- UI design & UX feedback
- Mock-up and prototype app build
- Gateway service definition, build and consumption
- Destinations from Cloud Platform to S/4HANA
- Connecting it all together
- Running a working app
What is needed?
An open mind, a bit of enthusiasm and a working laptop with access to a “decent” web browser, preferably Google Chrome. If you would like to take part in this event please bring your own laptop with you.
