The new Co-Chairs David Weedle (Bank of Ireland) and Philip Adams (Mercury Engineering) will be hosting the meeting which will focus on Upgrading to SAP ERP6.

Fiona Walsh, of SAP Ireland will take a Look Forward to 2008 with the group.

Iain Sibley from SAP willpresent to the groupMoving from R3 to ERP 6 and SAP Release Strategy, David Lynch will follow this later in the day witha presentation onSolution Manger Overview. This presentation will show a brief overview of the SAP Solution Manager tool for implementation and upgrade projects.

Paul Rogers andMartin McCloy from FG Wilson will deliver an UpgradeStory (ERP 6),This presentation will be an overview of FG Wilsons project including; Technical Change Management aspects (training, testing and communications), Project management issues (ECC 6.0 issues, control of multiple teams, offshore resources, scope and lessons learnt. There will also be an opportunity for questions.

Mike Guthriefrom IBM will presentthe sessionWhat you need to know about SAP ERP Upgrades. This presentation will provide an overview of the upgrade project activies required and the relative effort and cost involved.

Rob Limbrey from Hyperformix will present to the group NetWeaver Performance - 5 Secrets you Need to Know. Upgrades can be complex and potentially risky projects. Most are combinations of technical upgrades, functional upgrades, eSOA deployments and Unicode conversations. Server hardware requirements are difficult to determine and the cost of a missed SLA can be high. This presentation will review lessons learned gathered from more than 2,000 NetWeaver upgrades and discuss key findings, including five key points that will help insure your NetWeaver upgrade is a resounding success.

David Weedle and Philip Adams will then discuss future plans for the Ireland SIG in 2008.
