This meeting is kindly sponsored by Fujitsu Siemens Computers and will have a main focus of BI Accelerator.
As you will already know, SAP is acquiring Business Objects and we are aware our members will want to understand what this means to the future of SAP BI and may also want to know exactly what Business Objects is. We will try and answer some of those questions in our agenda.
The agenda for the meeting includes:
Faisal Haneef from SAP will deliver two presentations, the first will discuss What's New in Business Intelligence and the second session will be an Introduction to BI Accelerator, further details on both of these presentations will follow shortly.
Fujitsu Siemens will present BI Accelerator and within this session you will learn about the BI-A product architecture, listen to a customer case study covering the background of the customer and why BI-A was chosen, including pain points and the delivered benefits of the solution. Fujitsu Siemens will also outline their Try & Buy Offer.
There will then be an opportunity for delegates to bring along their thoughts, problems or questions for discussion with the group at the Problem Corner Session.
Daniel Haverly will deliver a case study from the customer's perspective on Implementing BI Accelerator in the Consumer Products sector. This session will provide background, overview and lessons learned from a recent BI-A implementation.
There will also be a Business Objects Overview delivered by Capgemini, which will introduce Business Objects including details of core components and features, typical deployment scenarios and insights into its look and feel. This session also aims to feature details of an implementation combining SAP BI and Business Objects.
Craig Dale from the SAP UK & Ireland User Group will provide a User Group 2007 Conference Review and our new BI SIG Chairman, Paul Aitkenhead from BBC will discuss future development of the Business Intelligence Special Interest Group as he looks forward to 2008.
