This SIG will look at new SAP UI technologies - voice, handwriting - alongside technologies from SAP Leonardo, and well as more traditional Fiori and UI5 technologies, all looking at providing a better user experience for users of SAP ERP and S/4.

You will be joined by Hitz Patel from Capgemini who will present on Complex Fiori App development using UIsmart

As part of the SAP Refresh programme the existing Data Capture Toolbox application which supports the processes for the capture, governance and use of asset data provided by capital project partners is being retired.

This system is a bespoke development and provides many functions to meet multiple process requirements so the enduring solution provided by the SAP Refresh programme will need to deliver all process requirements within its architectural landscape.

The process for capturing and governing data provided by partners relating to assets built/modified during capital projects and the creation and transfer of asset data points into the YW UCD (Unit Cost Database). The Unit Cost Database holds the data models used to price/cost projects both in flight/AMP (setting Target Costs for partner contracts) and also as part of our Periodic Review submission where we cost up the capital projects in our proposed 5 year plan. These data models and their integrity rely entirely on the process of capturing, governing and transferring asset data provided by capital partners into the UCD.

Hear from Capgemini's Neil Kumar on how you can combine Blockchain, Internet-of-Things, and great User Experience through Design Thinking on SAPUI5, all working in harmony with S/4HANA to create an automated system for the parts within your machinery.

Vincent Escalier from SAP willl pesent a session on SAP Inscribe, a more natural user experience to interact with data

By combing the natural experience of pen and paper with system intelligence, SAP Inscribe provides a completely new way to interact with your business data. You can explore data by writing, scribbling, or doodling, and receive intelligent, rich responses. Dig deeper into the data by changing values, drilling-down into charts and tables, and modifying queries to see the interlinked data intelligently update in turn. SAP Inscribe gives you the fluidity and flexibility to work naturally and intuitively.

Wayne McFadden, Warburtons head of IT for Operations will demo how to build your own Smart Business app in 20 mins without coding.

Quality is not just a value for Warburtons, it’s an obsession. They are committed to making the best bread in Britain and are very proud that the freshness of their products marks them out as a leader in the industry. Warburtons use SAP Smart Business on-premise for Suite-on-Hana to report real-time manufacturing information which helps to keep their performance KPI’s as fresh as their products.

Steve Rumsby (SIG Chair) will give an update on his latest trip to Walldorf for 'Meet the Experts' .

Steve will present an update from the User Group volunteers' trip to Walldorf earlier in the year, where all the SIG chairs had an opportunity to meet product owners and other experts from SAP to discuss specific issues and future plans. There was a big focus on UI and UX for this year's trip, and so it was especially relevant for the UX SIG.
