Evergreen Garden Care was bought out by Exponent Private Equity from the US company Scotts MiracleGro in 2017. Within 12 months, the business needs to put in wall to wall S4/HANA, replace 76 other systems, replace all of the infrastructure, establish a new IT team and keep the business running on existing platforms while doing it all. There is no doubt that adopting S/4HANA is a significant undertaking for an organisation. Our experience with Customers around the globe tells us that an IT led Technical proposal is a risky route to justifying an S/4HANA initiative. This session will discuss the basis for a strong business case for S/4HANA including the role of a living roadmap in identifying technical costs and sequencing business aligned benefits and deliverables.
