This event will be a blend of technical yet business critical topics of interest to many customers of SAP. The SIG meeting will focus on aspects which aim to drive value and ensure that the investment in SAP achieves maximum potential by reviewing:

Our SIG Chairs David Weedle (Bank of Ireland) and Philip Adams (Mercury Engineering) will begin the meeting with an introduction and welcome.

Una Matthews from FAS will provide an Overview of FAS and its provision of labour market services in the Irish economy and in particular, the activities carried out in this Tallaght Training Centre.

David Weedle from BOI will deliver a presentation Setting the Scene. This presentation will give an overview of the challenges facing Bank of Ireland in trying to ensure optimum performance and data volume management across its ever changing SAP Landscape.

Gerard Moran from Open Text will present to the group Improving Operational Efficiency and Increase Performance while reducing costs. Ensuring correct handling of files, optimising efficiencies and at the same time enabling you to achieve compliance is a challenge. Organisations need answers to make informed business decisions to predict investment requirements, forecasting capacity needs and determine optimal performance.

James Irving Bell from Adobe will present Delivering engaging User Experiences for SAP with Adobe Software. The relationship between Adobe and SAP is Focused on extending SAP solutions with best-in-class user experience. The presentation will cover SAP Interactive forms by Adobe, a best in class solution for e-enabling paper based processes and Adobe Acrobat Connect for SAP which facilitates highly interactive rapid e-learning and e-meetings.

Martin Melarkey from SAP will present to the group Database Optimisation. An SAP system's database is not unlike the application itself, it also requires attention, review and updating. This session intends to cover what areas should be considered with regard to your database performance and ensuring that it is performing optimally.

What can make an impact on the performance of your database? We will attempt to cover all elements that would need to be considered and addressed.

Consideration will also be given to the implications of a SAP System Upgrade on the Database component of the system. What relevant support services that SAP can provide will also be discussed.

David Lynch from SAP will deliver a presentation giving the principles around Master Data Management.
