Marlow Foods well known for their Quorn branded market leading meat substitute, has recently gone live with SAP S/4HANA. Join David Bigley, Head of IT, Marlow Foods, who will share his experiences of their SAP transformation journey.
S/4HANA is now integrated into key processes enabling their vision to become a $1bn global business. As a result the business has been able to re-align their organisational structures to better reflect the changes in financial controlling and reporting to support the evolution of their business supported by, streamline workflows, reduce waste, improve channel and market responsiveness, and improve the supply chain with real-time data. Ultimately, the new SAP Platform will help to build closer customer and partner relationships in order to sustain the growth objectives of the organisation.
After an initial RFP process launched to convert to SAP Suite on HANA, Marlow Foods after support from itelligence in understanding the real impact of conversion, cost, time to benefit and lack of transformation it offered, opted for a new implementation of S/4HANA, over a system conversion. Not only as their business had changed significantly since the original SAP installation, the project costs provided greater efficiency in the single step to S/4 compared to going through the Suite on Hana conversion. There was also a significant reduction in business disruption with a clean transition to S/4 compared with the lengthy down time of converting a live ERP landscape which controls 24x7 food production.
Specifically, the presentation will cover:
- The routes to S/4HANA
- The criteria used to select a new implementation vs conversion
- The reasons for moving to SAP S/4HANA
- Project experiences of implementing S/4HANA
- The benefits now being realised
- Lessons Learned
