THIS EVENT WILL TAKE PLACE FACE-TO-FACE
The full agenda and content for this session will be online shortly.
The SIG spans the design, planning, execution, control, and monitoring of the movement and storage of raw materials, work-in-process inventory, and finished goods from the point of origin to point of consumption using both traditional SAP Business Suite and S/4HANA. SIG meetings are held a few times per year, ideally they are hosted by member companies at their own premises, which can provide a free conference pass to members. Meetings are attended by a wide range of users from the Supply Chain community; from practitioners and implementation experts, to SAP support users and those simply curious as to what is available using the latest technologies.
AWS will be presenting the following sessions:
Do you want to take the data from different sources including SAP and harness this data? Amazon will present a data driven approach to Supply Chain and share some of their experiences for how they do business. Once you have the data, you want not only dashboards and KPI`s but you want to gain root cause information. For example, if there is an issue with Inventory Turns being low, you will want to know why? It can be because of forecast inaccuracy or supply variability causing you to hold excess inventory. You will want to know what are the leading indicators in your supply chain that caused these KPIs
Once you have the insights, you may want predictive analytics on where you will end up if an issue is not fixed, the impacts of these issues and how to reduce the impact. Amazon will discuss how AI/ML can be used present different use case examples. For example, if your predictive analytics show forecast inaccuracy, you can run a AI/ML algorithm to generate a better forecast that the user can act on.
When you have identified the insights, impacts and recommendations, in this case a better forecast, you can feed that fine tuned forecast to your ERP systems for adjusting the plans. You can then create a seemless automated supply chain by letting the system push those recommendations to the APIs. This is where Amazon.com is with full automated end to end supply chain. Amazon will explore this and how organisations can take this forward.
What are the steps that Amazon are taking to improve their sustainability position? How can some of these experiences be applied for your business?
