The SIG spans the design, planning, execution, control, and monitoring of the movement and storage of raw materials, work-in-process inventory, and finished goods from point of origin to point of consumption using both traditional SAP Business Suite and S/4 HANA. SIG meetings are held a few per year, ideally they are hosted by member companies at their own premises, which can provide a free conference pass to members. Meetings are attended by a wide range of users from the Supply Chain community; from practitioners and implementation experts, to SAP support users and those simply curious as to what is available using the latest technologies. Richard Symes: Richard is responsible for SAP running in a hundred countries at the British Council and has manufacturing and supply chain experience on SAP since 2000. Prior to SAP arriving In Richard’s working life he held management positions in Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Change Management roles.
Martin Crangle: Martin became involved in SAP during 2009, starting off as a ABAP developer and Basis analyst. Responsible for the scoping and implementing of SAP changes. Martin moved roles to become the SAP Application Specialist across Europe, helping in multiple Go Lives and system improvements. Martin now works as the IT BRM for BorgWarner in Bradford, responsible for the IT and SAP at Plant level.
