This SIG is kindly being hosted at GMPTE.
Julian McCormick from GMPTE will be presenting An Integrated Approach to Using Business Objects to Enhance Programme Delivery at GMPTE.
In 2008 GMPTE delivered Phase 1 of the MIS programme in conjunction with Logica (Implementation Partner). The project was delivered over 9 months with the aim of providing a single source of truth across the business. To satisfy the programme management requirements the project included an integrated Primavera P6 / SAP PS solution. Prior to this, GMPTE did not have an integrated suite of core business applications.
In April 2009 GMPTE began the rollout of the Phase 2 programme by implementing My Budget, followed by SAP CRM in August 2009. The Business Intelligence implementation built on the foundation laid in Phase 1 and included the delivery of Key Performance Indicators, dashboards and reports for Finance, Procurement, HR and Projects. This was delivered using Business Warehouse 7 and BO Webi for reports and Xcelsius and Strategy Manager for dashboards. This presentation will give an insight into the complexity of designing a fully integrated solution, what we have learnt, the benefits and how GMPTE intend to further build on the work achieved to date.
Rachel Morris from Agusta Westland will be covering Earned Value. A presentation which has been shown before at the PS SIG showing an overview of what the Earned Value concept is and how it can benefit your process. The presentation will also show the steps involved in configuring Progress Analysis in SAP and a quick run through of how the functionality is used at Agustawestland, where we have used SAP’s EV for more than 10yrs.
Jayne Coxon from the User Group will deliver a User Group update. Jayne will discuss what the User Group is planning for 2011, including how you can get more value from your membership, an update on the annual conference and how you can get involved in influencing the development of SAP’s products.
