Geof Segar was Corus's 1Programme Training manager from October 2007 to December 2010. He has recently moved job and is now SAP Training Manager at Sodexo UK. Geoff Segar has been designing and delivering successful SAP training programmes for large, blue chip organisations across Europe and North America for 20 years. Having worked in both SAP Training and Change Management consultancy for a decade and subsequently as in-house Training Manager for a number of large multi-national companies, Geoff has a wealth of experience to share and unique insight into to what drives success in the field of SAP Training.
Geof Segar will deliver the presentation How has Corus successfully trained 6,000 Finance, Plant Maintenance and HR SAP users across 20 sites and achieved high user competence and confidence using a blended training solution supported by Assima Technology? When Corus, Europe's second largest steel producer with annual revenues in the region of £12 billion embarked on a multi-module, multi-site SAP implementation, how did Corus develop a blended training solution that would cater for a wide variety of learning needs and address a broad range of new system and business functionality? How did Corus blend sophisticated Assima system simulations with classroom training sessions to successfully adapt Corus’ traditional learning culture to embrace new, more cost effective and efficient ways of training and supporting end users? This session explores Corus’ development of their training strategy over a period of 3 years across their 20 roll out sites and will focus on the key lessons learned as well as highlighting the key success factors when delivering a complex SAP training programme.
