Firstly, Pentlands Brands will give an Introduction to who Pentlands Brands are. Pentland Group plc was founded in the early 1930s in Liverpool, England. It was then called the Liverpool Shoe Company becauseit dealt purely in shoes; first a wholesale shoe business, then expandinginto a manufacturing business. Always displaying innovation and creativity, Pentland was one of the first companies to manufacture from Asia, forming a division in Hong Kong in the early 1960s.In 1981 Pentland purchased the majority share of a tiny US company called Reebok. After a 10-year period of growth, Reebok was sold. In the 1990s Pentland bought brands and now proudly has a portfolio of some of the greatest international sports, outdoor and fashion brands globally.
Pivot, SAP partner and specialised company in mobile solutions, will present and introduce two of its customers to discuss how mobile solutions challenged the conventional approach to cost centre management in line with the key phases of ALM approach (e.g Solution implementation, test control, etc)
One of Pivot's customer speakers is Paul Muir from Manchester City Council. Paul will be covering how Manchester City Council has implemented the mobile SAP solution from Pivot. This will enable Cost Centres Managers to approve both shopping carts and invoices when away from the office. This will reduce the time it takes to approve shopping carts and get Purchase Orders to our vendors. It will also improve the invoice payment times to our vendors helping us to achieve Government targets.

Chris Chittock from Pivot will discuss 10 Sexy SAP Things Deployed: Pivot share secrets of converting temptation SAP ware into innovative client deployments that have made a visible difference to user productivity and business performance.
Also at this SIG, Kevin RIchardson, from SAP will look at mobile solutions as part of new developments of Netweaver 7.3. Since the acquisition of Sybase in 2010 SAP has been working hard to define our roadmap and align our development effort. This session will position where SAP is today, the roadmap and what options that gives you as customers to get your applications and data on the move.
