SAP will deliver Continuous Improvement through Customer Connection. Introduction to the Customer Connection program and Presentation of Customer Connection Project for Utilities “ Call center efficiency – improve usability and processes (e.g. premise-centric views, meter reading in IC, account creation)
Peter Massey- Director of Gas Distribution Transformation from National Grid will present Right People, Right Process and Right Technology – Experiences from the implementation of SAP/ESRI/CLICK/SYCLO in National Grid. The presentation will summarise the journey that National Grid is on to transform its Gas Distribution business in the UK. The presentation will cover two principle topics: firstly a high level overview of the design and implementation of SAP with best of breed products from CLICK Software (scheduling), ESRI (geospatial) and Syclo (mobile applications); secondly the comprehensive change management that has been necessary to realise the benefits from the investment. There will also be a summary of the lessons learnt and what are the next steps on the journey.
Peter will then deliver a Demonstration of the SAP/CLICKsoftware/Syco applications for our Emergency Response service. This demonstration will show the flow of an emergency job from the initial call receipt through, prioritisation in CLICKSoftware and delivery to the mobile device in the field.
Peter Rugge from CX4U will deliver the presentation Something new on gaslogistical processes in SAP for utilities / outlook on the necessarity on VEE in the smart metering processes. Peter will present two different contents. The first spot will be given on an SAP IS-U/EDM based enhancement for the capacity- and nomination management of Gas suppliers and Gas TSO´s.The second spot treats the question of the necessarity on “validation, estimation and editing in the smart metering processes.
Wayne Johncock from Centrica will deliver a live demo of Smart Meter Analytics, similar to the demo he gave at Sapphire Now 2011 during Hasso Plattner’s keynote. Smart Meter Analytics is an application that will allow utility companies to analyze smart meter readings to forecast demand, analyze profitability of customer segments and develop new products. SAP In-Memory Computing will make it possible to process the potentially massive amount of data coming from these devices in real time and react quickly to changes in energy production or consumption.
Adam Cundell from the User Group will deliver the latest User Group Update discussing Continuous Improvement & the latest Conference Update.
