Kim Peartree from Rocket Consulting will present Centralise your transport costs, optimise your visibility, and improve financial control with SAP TCM (Transportation Charge Management). Understand and take control of your transport costs including base transport charges, fuel surcharges, demurrage, stop offs etc. Create a central point of reference for your costs and categorise expenditure into key areas to facilitate and improve the charge management process. Expand the visibility of charges by carrier; understand the pricing mechanisms and compare agreements (internally and externally). Use the capability to improve contract negotiations and drive the next level of efficiency into your transport operation.
Lyndsey Wick from Kuehne + Nagel Drinks Logistics will present KNDL. An overview of how the KN Drinks Logistics business operates in the UK. And a look at how they use SAP and a view of the KNDL IT landscape. They will also look at KNDL’s use of non-SAP solutions to manage a fleet of over 150 Primary and 300 Secondary vehicles across the UK. As well as a look at some of the opportunities that still exist for the future. Finally they will wrap up with how KNDL are approaching the task of servicing our customers and the venues during the 2012 Olympics.
