Open Text are sponsoring the SIG and Audrey Allan and Gerard Moran from OpenText will deliver the session HR Employee File Excellence. SAP Employee File Management by OpenText provides HR departments with a complete document solution: all printed documents from employees and job applicants, master data and internal personnel documents are immediately available from the electronic personnel file. This ensures that all personnel activities and processes are performed quickly and easily.

Modern Human Resource (HR) management covers more than just efficient administration and smooth implementation of work standards. HR departments are increasingly measured on the value they bring to an organisation and their contribution to achieving overall company goals. As a result, many companies are looking for innovative means of increasing the contribution of HR and many HR departments are looking for ways to transform themselves from an administrative to a strategic operation.

In the past, HR resources were tied up with administrative tasks and had no time for strategic management support. To transform themselves into a strategic operation, they are investing in automation of administrative tasks so that they have more time for strategic work.

Employee File Management (EFM) provides a 360°view of employee data and documents regardless of whether they reside in SAP or non-SAP systems. It provides access to users via their preferred interfaces, including SAP HCM, SAP ERP (HR), SAP NetWeaver Portal or Microsoft Office. EFM enhances the SAP Manager and Employee Self-Service (ESS) applications with documents from the employee file.

Paula Kennedy-Hogan will present SAP Super Users - what are the benefits for HR Shared Services?
