We will begin this SIG with a round table discussion on master data usage in SAP Maintenance and Service Management including topics such as ‘’How many levels in a Functional Location hierarchy’’, “When does a Functional Location become an Equipment? together with links to other data objects in SAP and Best Practices for data setup and management.
The discussion will be opened by SABIC and Mars sharing their experiences in this area. If you are attending this meeting please come prepared to discuss the approach to master data within your business, together with any issues that you may have.
Mark Todd from SAP will present Master Data Management. What tools are there within SAP to control the setup, duplication and synchronisation of data.
Guy Spaven will present Change Management. New functionality within SAP to manage changes to objects within the system. SAPneed to address that can be discussed with the other attendees.
This will be followed by covering MSM User interface options – Examples of Netweaver Business Client, Portal content for EAM, New maintenance screens in EHP5, developing your own webdynpro screens, GUIxt and the brand new SAP Personas.
