Simon Trill from UBM will share with us his Dashboarding Journey at UBM.

Stephen Green from BP will present The role of dashboards in Enterprise Performance Management (EPM). An overview of the role dashboards have played in simplifying and standardising performance management processes in BP’s Lubricants business. As part of wider project to standardise, simplify and stop the unnecessary proliferation of MI across the Lubricants business BP has made extensive use of Xcelsius dashboards to drive rigour and discipline into many core performance management processes. In this session BP will share some learnings from their journey to date and provide some examples of the dashboards which are currently being used in the business today.

Andrew Fox from Itelligence will run a session in the afternoon: Do the academic view of a dashboards really deliver actionable insight?. The author Stephen Few from Perceptual Edge set out a Dashboard Design Competition in late 2012 to  "showcase for the current state of expert dashboard design" and we will use this as the basis for an interactive session.

Andrew will walk through the dataset used and then everyone will break into small groups and design on paper a dashboard to meet the competition brief. Hopefully people will be happy to share their designs to the group and we will finish of by critiquing Andrew's submission and competition winners.

This SIG will finish after lunch. Please see the agenda
