This SIG is sponsored by BPI.

Andreas Knopf from BPI Business Process Integration GmbH will present SEPA, it's impact to automatic bank reconciliation and ways for a solution using EBS Workbench® in SAP. SEPA becomes mandatory as of February 2014 but reduces automatic cash application and reconciliation in SAP. During 2013 all companies will introduce the new SEPA Payment Instruments to be compliant for the Feb 2014 deadline which is set by banks and European member states.
As a result the related bank statements will show different content and structure compared to the current data and the automatic reconciliation and processing rate within the SAP system will drop. BPI's SAP-integrated software solution EBS Workbench® allows the business users to configure the necessary automation rules for SEPA (and non-SEPA transactions) directly in the live SAP system and so to improve the cash application and reconciliation process. EBS Workbench® offers a great user interface experience, does not require IT resources for configuration and can be implemented in your SAP environment within 2 days.

Alexandra Ellison from SAP will be delivering a session about SEPA. Alex works in SAPs EMEA Centre of Excellence for GRC, EPM and LoB Finance. Full details on this session will be confirmed soon.

We are working on the agenda, and further sessions and information will be available online soon.
