The focus of our next Ireland SIG will be based on developing a strategy and roadmap to take advantage of new and emerging SAP solutions and defining the business case to support the plan.

SHS will be sharing their SAP Story at the SIG this will include the following:

  • A whistle stop tour of the SHS journey and their SAP deployment.
  • Building The Business Case
Ranging from key stakeholder expectation, the push for greater user adoption,  performance issues  and increased reporting demands, SHS will describe how these contributing factors led to the decision to buy HANA. SHS will walk through the anticipated benefits, the arguments and scenarios used to support a business case and the necessary hardware sizing and requirements necessary to support current and future growth.
  • Presenting The Roadmap
Already active with a Virtualisation program across both the SAP and non-SAP platforms,  SHS will walk through the sequence of projects including those pre-requisite SAP upgrades dictated by HANA BW and the lessons learned to date as they embark on  this ambitious program of work.
  • This journey will describe the status quo, the on-going introduction of HANA and BusinessObjects Dash boarding and finish with an outline vision on how SHS will develop future  SAP solutions across areas like Mobility, Planning and a larger HANA footprint.

Following a successful roundtable discussion at the SIG in May, the agenda will also include an opportunity for further networking and ideas sharing.
Peter Radford

Paul Baker
