Perhaps unsurprisingly, HANA was a key focus at the event. Diginomica intimated that SAP has now moved the HANA-as-application platform view to the centre of how it presents its strategy. The company offered a detailed view of HANA as a driver for industry use cases, and how it can fit with todays Hadoop and Big Data architectures. SAP also further boosted its Big Data credentials by announcing a new partnership with SAS, whereby SASs analytics software will run on HANA.

Mobility was also a big theme coming out of TechEd. Biz Tech Magazine highlighted the launch of version 3.0 of SAPs mobility platform, which places an emphasis on open-source standards and multiplatform compatibility. PC World gave us a teaser around the upcoming launch of the cloud edition of SAP Mobile App Protection, offering businesses a solution for mobile device, app and content security in the cloud. In addition, SAP revealed a new secure mobile browser and announced that users of theHANA Enterprise Cloud servicecan now securely access business content and documents with the new release of SAP Mobile Documents.

Mobility and HANA are among the key themes that will be addressed at next months User Conference, with many customers sharing their first-hand experiences of HANA for the first time. If you havent already registered, do so now to secure your place!
