Craig Dale, chief executive of the UK and Ireland SAP User Group told Computerworld UK that this year's event has been rebranded to reflect the aim of the conference, namely "connecting the SAP community to learn from one another, share best practice and network to get the most out of their investment".
SAP's Business Suite platform S/4 HANA remains at the top of the agenda for the event, with a dedicated track which includes four customers sharing their early success using the platform which runs on the HANA in-memory database.
Adoption of S/4 HANA will be a theme this year. "The key thing around adoption is whether the business is ready for it. Where are businesses within the roadmap and understanding that is still a key area," Dale said.
He added that the event should provide existing SAP customers with defined roadmaps towards adoption, "so bringing that education to the members hopefully brings great value", he said.
Delegates can expect to get a good view of where the SAP technology is going "so they can get a broad picture of what is happening in the SAP world and how they can exploit that from a business and IT perspective", Dale said.
There will be over 100 breakout sessions across streams covering digital transformation, big data and S/4 HANA, user experience, supply chain, security, payroll and Business Objects analytics and reporting. There will also be specialist sessions for SAP BusinessByDesign and SAP Business One users.
Customers down to attend include UK retailers Boots, The Body Shop and Greggs, as well as IBM, BP and Pfizer.
