Welcome to your April News
I hope everyone had the opportunity to enjoy the long Easter weekend.
We are constantly looking at ways your User Group can provide additional value to its members. Over the last few weeks we have launched two new initiatives that I hope will enhance the value of being part of UKISUG both personally and for your organisation.
I am pleased to announce that a number of UKI SAP User Group events, such as the recent Analytics Symposium are now eligible for earning CPD (Continuing Professional Development) points. We are now accredited by the CPD Certification Service to award points and certificates for attendees to a number of our events, including:
Earlier this month we launched our Affiliate Portal, this has been designed to make it easier for you to find the right technology partners from our affiliate members who can help with implementation, project and ongoing support activities. You can select key areas of expertise such as S/4HANA, Business Objects or business need, etc. and you can initiate contact with the organisation.
Additionally there is the opportunity to write reviews of your experience of working with these organisations! At the time of writing this newsletter we have already had numerous members write reviews of our affiliates. We already have more than 120 affiliate members and I expect this new service will see that number to continue to grow.
Earlier in April the volunteer Board of the User Group met with Jens Amail, SAP UK & I Managing Director. We first met him only a matter of hours after he had taken up the role following the departure of the previous incumbent so it was good for our board to hear about the changes he has instigated and the results they are seeing from the start of this cultural shift. The key mantra from Jens is that a sustainable trusted long term relationship with customers is crucial to success.
One of the great things we heard from Jens supporting this was the need for stable long term customer relationships, as a User Group we have flagged that very short term account manager appointments have been a major source of frustration for our members. It will be good to see how this continues to develop. As we have regular meetings with Jens and Brian Duffy EMEA North President its great to get your good and bad feedback – they do honestly want to hear both from us, so get in touch.

Adopting Software & Technology – Have your say
As part of our ongoing efforts to ensure that we continue to deliver value to all our members, we’d appreciate it if you could spend 10 minutes answering the following survey questions regarding software and technology adoption at your organisation.
We are keen to hear the view of both those working in IT and Line of Business, so even if you aren’t directly working in IT you may be involved in the use and adoption of software and technology (whether that be in HR, sales and marketing etc.).
The results from the survey will be used to help inform future User Group events and support our ongoing interactions with SAP.
We look forward to your response.
