Welcome to your October News

Chairmans Note

The 2016 UK & Ireland SAP User Group conference; Connect, is now just over 1 month away. We are looking forward to welcoming you all on the 20th – 22nd November at the ICC in Birmingham. As before a highlight of this annual event is undoubtedly the customer speakers. Covering a whole range of different business environments and industries, these sessions are extremely valuable as they can give real insights into how organisations are using and working with SAP.

At last year’s conference we introduced a few big changes such as the gala dinner being replaced with SUGFest, a festival styled event reception. A change this year is the introduction of our future conference identity and brand ‘Connect’. In time we hope that the Connect brand will become synonymous with our conference as the premier SAP focused event in the UK & Ireland.

We have acted on your feedback from past events to ensure you get the benefits from attending and participating. Naturally S/4 Hana will feature prominently at Connect and given the level of interest at S/4 focused SIGs throughout 2016, these sessions are likely to be popular. We are especially looking forward to the Keynote from Hala Zeine given how active SAP has been with acquisitions and expanding its portfolio.

I’m sure many of you (like me) are inundated with invitations to events every day and we cannot attend every event and must be selective. However, over the years of attending this event as a delegate as well as a participant, I have never met someone who didn’t get beneficial output from the conference and this does show in the volume of repeat attendees. Collectively you, our members, make the conference the success it has become. I’m confident it will meet your expectations and provide the platform for you to solve existing issues or plan for future moves within your SAP ecosystem.
