Welcome to your January News
Happy New Year and Welcome to 2019.I think by this point in the calendar all of us in the UK and Ireland had hoped we would know what would be happening on 29th March and the impact that might have on our organisations, friends and colleagues… But we are still in a very uncertain environment as to the impact of the B word! As things play out over the next couple of months we will be discussing with SAP and the partner community what education we can provide.
The 2019 programme of events has already started with the first webinar happening earlier this week. Next week sees the launch of this years face to face meetings with a gathering of the Irish HR and Payroll Special Interest Group. There are eight opportunities in February to come along to an event and ‘Learn, Network, Collaborate and Influence’ with the member community. Please view our full calendar of events here.
As I mentioned in my email last month it would be amazing if we could increase the number of members presenting at events this year. So if over the Christmas break you thought of something you would like to share with the membership please get in-touch. Remember there are lots of different ways you can do this – via SAPJam, at a webinar, a SIG or Symposium and it does not need to be an hour of PowerPoint! All of the SIG Chairs would welcome a very short slot being added to the agenda.
Later this month myself, Philip Adams (previous Chairman) and Craig Dale (UKISUG CEO) will be joining representatives of other Northern Europe User Groups in Dublin to meet up with Brian Duffy SAP EMEA North President. This is the third roundtable that Brian has hosted and it will present a good opportunity to meet up with the other User Groups and hear what SAP is planning across the region this year and for us to discuss issues impacting our members such as S/4HANA Adoption.

Many mid-sized national and multinational businesses are at the crossroad of expanding their organisations or may have a payroll solution which is no longer sustainable. Growing your company is often faced with challenges around rules and legislative regulations, compliance, global reporting needs (especially in the age of GDPR), as well as needing comprehensive analytics, to help with strong business and management decision making needs.

We will end the webinar with a Q&A.
