Welcome to your September News
Welcome back after the summer holiday season, the autumn events in UKISUG calendar are already well underway. Over the last few months we have been running our annual membership survey, this is a really important milestone in the User Group year. I suspect you probably get requests to take part in research and fill in surveys all the time and I would guess like me you are sceptical of the value in spending the time completing the form. The feedback you provide during this survey is extremely important to us, as a membership organisation your continued participation ensures the vibrancy and relevance of UKISUG.
All the data is reviewed and all the question answers will be read and collated. We discuss this at Board meetings, with the volunteer community and it will drive much of what we do in 2020. Importantly we also use your feedback in our engagements with senior stakeholders at SAP, this can be an important barometer for them on what the customer base is thinking about key topics such as upgrading to S/4 Hana or challenges with licencing. Please take the time to complete the survey before it closes next week and help us to keep UKISUG relevant to your needs.
Hopefully in just over two months we will see many of you at our annual conference in Birmingham – ‘UKISUG Connect’! Over the last month I have reviewed a number of proposals and there are some really great breakout sessions at the planning stage from our members, SAP and the partner community. We have started to publish the agenda with many new sessions due to be added over the next week, so please keep an eye on the website for details.
The full line up of keynotes for the Monday morning is also now available and I am pleased to say we will be welcoming back Jens Amail, Managing Director SAP UKI, and first time speakers Angela Massey, Chief Customer Officer and Head of Customer Office SAP EMEA North, and Simon O’Kane Managing Director EMEA Qualtrics. If you were at the event last year you will remember that the acquisition of Qualtrics was announced just as our conference kicked off, so it will be good to hear how this new part of SAP is integrating into the organisation and its solutions one year on.
Remember the summer rate for the conference ends next week.

SAP® is a powerful, but extremely complex system. Some organisations find loading data or creating reports with real-time information from SAP a challenge. And for others, the issue is streamlining processes and allowing all the people who need to access SAP to do so quickly, easily, and securely.
