Welcome to your December News

Chairmans Note

As the year draws to an end, I hope you agree that the User Group successfully delivered value to you and your organisation at a local and global level. There are some particular highlights; such as:

  • the almost £0.5million saving achieved across our members who took advantage of discounted SAP Learning Hub licenses,
  • clarity about the S/4 Hana license model,
  • 300 improvements delivered through the customer connection programme,
  • 223 projects delivered through the customer engagement programme,
  • the unquantifiable tips and tricks many of you have learned by attending our events,
  • and finally another very successful conference, which saw the biggest number of member speakers present to fellow members.

Each year the UKISUG staff, volunteers and directors strive to improve on the last by ensuring relevant and beneficial services are provided to all our membership. We will also continue to work constructively with SAP about concerns or challenges, whether that be licensing, S/4 migration or integration.

However, please remember we can only achieve these goals with your support. If you attended UKISUG Connect last month you might have picked up that we want more of you to actively participate and share your knowledge. Please think about how you could get involved in 2017.

Finally, on behalf of all the volunteers, directors and the User Group team, I wish you a happy festive season and a joyful New Year!

Digital Transformation: Process + Content in Context

The 2016 UK and Ireland SAP User Group annual conference is behind us, but the key messages around Digital Transformation should be very much a part of your planning as you prepare for 2017.

If you missed the opportunity to hear from OpenText at this year’s event on Digital Transformation: Process + Content in Context, then take time to view a summary recording of the presentation given by Jonathan Beardsley, SAP Program Manager at OpenText. Jonathan discusses how organisations around the globe are reducing costs, improving process efficiency, raising customer service quality standards and speeding time to market for new products and services through Digital Transformation with OpenText and SAP.

More than a third of all data in the customer SAP Ecosystem is unstructured content. OpenText offers the digital content platform to manage and deliver unstructured content to SAP’s digital core, dynamically, in context and on any device. From departmental and organisational content enriched processes, to external collaboration, OpenText enables the complete Digital Transformation of workforce, product, finance, suppliers and customers.

Join OpenText at our 2017 Innovation Tour in London to find out how our suite of applications for SAP can help your Digital Transformation. Meet with representatives from key sponsor SAP, attend dedicated SAP Ecosystem sessions and discuss your specific needs with OpenText experts.

UKISUG Connect - Connecting the SAP Community

UKISUG Connect 2016 saw the User Group network come together for the biggest SAP event in the UK & Ireland. We’re currently collating all of the feedback and so far the response has been excellent!

"The general organisation of the whole event - I always knew exactly where I needed to be. There was a good variety of content in the breakout sessions something for everyone and of course, SUGFEST was very enjoyable, particularly the band on the main stage. The networking talk on Tuesday morning was also good - very motivating and very entertaining"
- Process Analyst, Lubrizol
