In this session, Randy Gibson, Prospecta, will explore how the qualityof supply chain data can determine the success of AI initiatives, from organisations just beginning their AI journey to those already deploying advanced analytics and automation. It examines common data quality challenges - including duplicates, incomplete records, inconsistent descriptions, missing attributes and fragemented data and their impact on inventory, procurement, maintenance, operations, costs and decision-making.
The session will also explore practical ways organisations can use AI to identity, enrich, standardise and govern supply chain data, before demonstrating how MDO helps organisations operationalise these capabilities at scale. Over 30 years of experience, within the rail industry with Alstom in a variety of roles across its European Operations from hands-on manufacturing to production control, procurement to customer support, inbound warehousing, product distribution and supply chain improvements. More recently creating a London Materials hub delivering long-term material forecasting and short term material planning solutions within SAP. This has now moved to being a UK-wide role delivering material planning solutions for the legacy Bombardier business within Alstom.
Richard Wilkins
Richard is the Make-to-Deliver Transformation Director at Royal Canin, where he leads a team designing global supply chain solutions for the first S/4HANA implementation at Mars Inc. A Chartered Engineer with an MBA and a background in the consumer products and food industry. Prior to Mars, he worked in manufacturing, maintenance and digital roles at Toshiba, Gillette and P&G. In 2022 he was selected as one of the top 100 changemakers in UK manufacturing by The Manufacturer for his work on digital innovation.

Very much jack of all trades – supporting with business process development throughout O2C, DTP, P2P, IWM, C2R and PI2Pe and wanting to learn more about Fiori Queries and AI.

Bethany has over 10 years of experience working at Alstom, in Supply Chain focusing on Material Planning within SAP. During 2024–2025 involved in the UK migration to global single instance, contributing to data transition, user acceptance testing, and end user training. Currently a Material Planning Key User, where I support end users by resolving system and process issues, drive improvements, and manage data updates.
Amy Smith
Amy has worked in a technical SAP role for the last 18 years. Her current role as Technical Build Lead for the Environmental Health and Safety area within the supply chain has meant that she has managed to build her own team of technical specialists in this area and has mentored and supported them throughout. She has a vast amount of knowledge in relation to GLM Labelling, SDS Creation and Substance Volume Tracking and has managed and built many SAP implementations for a leading global chemical company. For the last four years, she has been proud to be a part of the SAP Co-Innovation labelling team, helping to shape the future of SAP Labelling for supply chain. She is really excited to continue this work and also to get to know more of you in the community.
