The Positive Value of UKISUG – What our members say
From our focus groups, symposia to our annual conference, UKISUG Connect, our members have a whole host of opportunities to meet, learn and network with like-minded SAP professionals. This is the great strength of our community, helping to ensure organisations get the most from their SAP investments.
But don’t take our word for it! Here is feedback from our members collated from our member surveys and SUGTalks podcast. 👇
The resources
Among the activities UKISUG offers, our members see our events and resources as a key part of their own business development.
“I've been to a lot of the sessions that UKISUG has run on S/4 HANA, and they've all provided a lot of invaluable information.” Comments Kathryn Davidson (SUGTalks Series 12, Episode 2 – Director of SAP Solutions at TT Electronics), “This includes things that I've never even thought of, things to go away and think about, frustrations from other people who have gone through the journey where maybe things with Rise haven't been as clear as you would have thought.”
Similarly, Stephen Clark (SUGTalks Series 8, Episode 3 – then SAP Centre of Expertise Director at Walgreens Boots Alliance) added, “We make great use of the offer that UKISUG publishes every year for Learning Hub and I – and lots of people on the team – have spent a good deal of time in that Learning Hub.”
Shubhanjali Kesharwani (2024 member survey – SAP Ariba Project Lead at Mercury) commented, “The educational events and workshops are top-notch, helping you stay up to date with the latest SAP developments and enhance your skills. Overall, UKISUG is a supportive and dynamic community that can significantly contribute to your professional growth and success.”
The community
But events are not all that UKISUG offers. Outside of the formal programme, the community that is fostered within UKISUG is frequently raised as one its major benefits:
Ian Mallinson (2024 member survey – then IT Director at Warburtons) said of his business’ ability to forge connections with other member organisations, “We have connections with other businesses that use SAP through the User Group and other SAP partners that we've built relationships with over the years that have niche expertise in one particular area of SAP. Building your network and engaging in a community gives you access to a whole network that is there to help and support you.”
Nicola Davidson (2024 member survey – then Head of SAP at KCA Deutag) also called out UKISUG’s communities, which provide a forum for members to discuss their business priorities, “I think UKISUG is a great organisation. I’ve been part of the User Group for a while now and I’ve attended a number of the supply chain User Groups. I think they're great for networking and it’s great to see what your peers are doing and ask questions face-to-face.”
Stuart Larton (2024 member survey – Inbound Supply Consultant at Tata Consumer Products) praised the strong group of professionals that make up the UKISUG membership: “The UKISUG is a great place to network and engage with other professionals many of whom are either facing or have faced similar issues to you.”
