UKISUG Board of Directors

The Board of Directors consists of UKISUG volunteers and are responsible for the Governance of the User Group. The Board work closely with our Chief Executive to set the strategy and direction of UKISUG.

Paul Cooper

Chairman

Paul has more than 18 years’ experience working with and managing SAP solutions. Currently Paul is the Head of Information Systems and a member of the Management Board at Burton’s Biscuit Company. He has been an active member of the User Group for over 10 years co-Chairing the ALM Special Interest Group and joined the Board in 2011, earlier this year Paul was appointed Chairman of UKISUG.

Philip Adams

Philip is head of group it at mercury engineering and is responsible for the full ict portfolio including the implementation and global deployment of sap across the Mercury group. Prior to joining Mercury, Philip worked with Accenture on projects spanning public sector and financial services. Philip became a director of the user group in May 2010 and was appointed chairman in March 2013. In April 2017, Philip completed his term and handed over Chairmanship to his successor.

Alan Bowling

Currently leading global front-back office applications and the sap competency centre at Xerox, and formerly CIO at the training and development agency for schools and prior to that CIO at northern foods, he has worked with sap products for 17 years and the user group for 13 years, seven of which as former chairman. Alan has run an award-winning SAP CCC and installed one of the first netweaver solutions in the UK as part of the sap ramp-up programme.

Brian Froom

Brian Froom

Board Member - UKISUG & ACS SIG Chair

Brian has been involved in sap in both an IT auditing and security capacity since 2005. He has 21+ years’ experience as an it auditor across different sectors. He is currently involved in the security and monitoring of Tata Steels sap installations across UK and Europe. Brian has recently accepted a role on the SAP UK & Ireland SAP User Group board of directors and is looking forward to the new challenges this brings.

Martin Lewis

Beta group was founded by Martin Lewis in 1987 and has grown into a leading manufacturing and maintenance specialist. Its operations span the manufacture of air filters for the heating, ventilation and spray booth industries as well as the provision of building services and Spraybooth maintenance throughout the UK. Beta also manufacture special coatings for the interior wood industry. In order to improve their use of sap, martin joined the sap user group in 2007 eventually becoming the business one SIG chairman and director in June 2010 to add some vital SME experience.

Michael Reaney

After almost 40 years experience in the Chemical Industry, in the UK, Europe and the Middle East, with SABIC UK Petrochemicals, Mike has been an implementer and Business Process owner of Plant Maintenance and Project Systems processes in SAP for the past 15 years. He has been the Maintenance and Service Management SIG Chair since 2010 and was appointed to the Board in 2016.

Fiona Warburg

Fiona has over 14 years’ experience working with SAP systems and nearly 20 years in IT. She is currently a manager at EDF Energy, and is responsible for ensuring optimum value is driven from investments in SAP. Prior to that Fiona has worked for Wales & West Utilities, Hewlett Packard & B&Q on their SAP systems in both technical and managerial roles. She has worked on both SAP projects and BAU support giving her a broad first-hand understanding of the challenges that come with running and implementing SAP.
