Moving to AWS cloud meant NGN needed to decommission their legacy storage solution. Due to statutory legalities, the old data needed to be accessible within their SAP environment. McCain Foods Limited Install SAP ILM and OpenText to Control Data Growth
McCain Foods Limited established in 1957 in Florenceville New Brunswick, Canada, They are the world's largest manufacturer of frozen potato products with employees <19,000. Operating in 34 countries from 1 SAP instance in Canada.We installed SAP ILM and OpenText which was a 6 month project. Firstly setting up 31 archive objects with 8 different retention periods. Without SAP ILM they would have had to setup 248 variants of these archive objects and maintain them. They now do archive runs weekly.
KingFisher Plc - Installed SAP ILM for SAP HANA Data Growth Control and Legacy System Decommissioning
Kingfisher PLC are a British multinational retailing company with a revenue of 11.22 billion GBP
Kingfisher needed to review their DM strategy as very little archiving had been carried out prior going to HEC. They are notabley the first customer with ILM and SAP IQ in HEC. Having 26 ILM objects setup to control SAP HANA growth, for every 100GB growth in the database they take out 100GB negating growth Now they are looking install SAP ILM for decommissioning up to 80 SAP and Non SAP systems.
