SAP Cloud ALM Introduces a "Feature Preview" Approach

SAP Cloud ALM has introduced a new approach to feature releases, giving users an early look at upcoming functionality before it goes live.

The preview window opens approximately two weeks ahead of the regular Wednesday feature delivery cycle, though in some cases features may remain in "Preview" for four weeks or more. Any features included in this window will be clearly marked as "Preview" on the SAP Cloud ALM What's New page.

For more detail on how this works, Nicolas Alech (SAP) has written about the approach directly: Click here

What this means for you

This approach is designed to give customers better visibility into what's coming, so they can:

  • Plan for new capabilities ahead of time
  • Assess the potential impact and benefits on their existing processes
  • Prepare training materials and documentation to support end-user adoption
  • Adjust workflows to incorporate new features smoothly

Partners can also use this information to support their customers in adopting new features ahead of release.

Where to find previewed features

All previewed features are accessible through the SAP Help Portal.

It's worth noting that this preview capability isn't yet available across the entire SAP Cloud ALM platform. It's currently limited to selected functional areas, with plans to expand gradually.
